tarting August 2025, I will be joining Jilin International Studies University as an Associate Professor. This new position does not erase what came before; it gathers it. My academic and artistic path has been shaped by long periods spent in Iran, where I lived, researched, and created under conditions that demanded patience, adaptability, and persistence. Those years profoundly marked my relationship to knowledge, language, and intellectual freedom.

Before this appointment, I was based in Seoul, following a trajectory already defined by movement rather than stability. Iran, then Korea, and now China form less a linear progression than a constellation of places where thinking, teaching, and creating had to negotiate different constraints and possibilities. This new chapter feels neither like an arrival nor a rupture, but like a moment of anchoring — provisional, conscious, and open — where experience, displacement, and continuity finally converge into a space that allows work to unfold with greater clarity and duration. I am deeply excited to begin this new adventure and to discover the culture, history, and intellectual landscapes of China with curiosity and humility.
